Bamboo New Years Eve House Party: Actors Takeover

TICKETS £10

BAMBOO IS BACK! Brighton’s favourite authentic diaspora night makes it return right in time for the new year. Celebrate with us this December 31st as we host a very special New Year's Eve House Party - taking over The Actors and bringing you 3 ROOMS with 3 different vibes for your choosing.

With Dj’s DJ Mimi, Erin James, Princess Persia and Jay Mo

Room 1 - DJs Erin James & Jaymo - Afrobeats / Amapiano / Bashment / Reggaeton / Soca

Room 2 - DJ Mimi & Princess Persia - Jungle / UKG / Trance / Edits / Baile Funk

Room 3 - Chillout Room - Beer Pong / Glitter Station / Chill Out Corner / Vinyl Decks / Games

As BAMBOO is a Black and queer run night, and inherintly political in its existence, we also want to acknowledge that not everyone has the privilege of celebrating this New Years. With the ethnic cleansing and genocide of Palestine, we are commiting to donate 50% of our ticket sales to Medical Aid for Palestine and will also have a fundraising table on the night.

We cant wait to see you - come for the community, stay for the tunes.

1580

MICRONIAN THEATRE PRODUCTIONS Presents 1580.
Written by Mike Black.

Based on a true account of a Sussex woman accused and hung for witchcraft in the sixteenth century in a village near Lewes, 1580 now tells the fictional story of her descendants and how events five hundred years earlier have continued to impact the lives of the family.
Former tabloid journalist, Greg Simmons unable to find accommodation in Lewes to undertake research for his second ghost novel a few days before Halloween, arrives in the village at a small bed and breakfast hotel, run by Elizabeth, her younger brother Robert, and his partner Sarah.
After just a few trips back to Lewes to investigate the historical events, executions and alleged supernatural activity in the town, Greg quickly realises that the most interesting and ultimately most shocking story isn’t there at all.
But is it grisly folklore or dark reality?

Felix Orlo: Munterland - A Comedy Poetry Cabaret

TICKETS: £8/£6 presale or £10 on the door
PRESALE TICKETS ON DMN or HERE

Is it stand up? Is it spoken word? Who knows. Who needs reasons when you’ve got a moose antler up your arse?

Hurtle down the rabbit hole with Felix and bear witness to badly played piano and the ramblings of a giant woman-baby who asks the big questions. Like what-the-fuck-am-I-doing-&-who-the-hell-am-I. Plus some other guff.

Prepare for madcap mayhem, kazoos, foul-mouthed fortune cookies, too many jokes about tapas, songs such as ‘I Want 2 Smash My Face Onto Your Face, Plz…In A Sexy Way, I Mean’, and a disembodied pair of hands belonging to a man called Darryl.

***

Copies of ‘BURGER GIRL’, a collection of comedy poetry, will be available for those legends who want to bring a slice of Munterland home!

Felix has performed at Brighton Fringe, Camden Fringe, FUSE International, Camden Comedy School, and The Comedy Store. She’s the proud co-parent of Sheena’s Palace, a vagrant alternative comedy night.

‘They are a bad ass. Could watch all day, amazing creative, producer, comedian, poet. That is all.’ ★★★★★- Fervor Festival
